Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Stakeholder Manager to expand our Highways team following our appointment to Highways England’s Technical Advisor framework.  The TA framework offers the opportunity to work on multiple exciting and varied projects up to £100m.  Our ambitious HE growth through TA, our partnerships with Contractors and SPaTS means there is huge potential for career development, before considering our wider Highways and Transportation business.

We seek an experienced individual ideally with a strong background within Highways although we will consider individuals from other large frameworks.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage all stakeholder and comms elements on Highways England projects at different stages of the PCF process
  • Develop and implement the stakeholder management plan
  • Complete stakeholder mapping and manage communications with stakeholders.  Act as the first point of contact, responding to queries and providing an effective link between the project and its stakeholders,
  • Manage engagement with Highways England, local authorities, partnership bodies, central government, non-/statutory bodies, industry, business, land/property owners, community groups and other parties to establish strong working relationships
  • Organize, prepare and run; workshops, roundtables/forums, client meetings, working groups and Public Consultations.  Expediting arising actions, producing the requisite reports and ensuring robust recording of all activities
  • Produce (and review) all related PCF products, including:
  • Public Consultation Strategy / Brochure / Exhibition Checklist / Report
  • Preferred Route Announcement Leaflet and Press Notice

What we’re looking for:

  • Direct experience managing engagement activities on Highways England project/s
  • Operational knowledge of Highways England’s engagement process and PCF products
  • Be highly organised and drive delivery to ensure outputs and milestones are achieved
  • Proven ability to work and multi-task under pressure. 
  • Respond quickly to changing situations in complex project environments, using initiative to react quickly in order to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Experience of developing and successfully implementing stakeholder engagement plans
  • It would also be great if you have (desirable):
  • Knowledge or experience of statutory processes including Planning, CPO or DCO
  • CPF experience
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Broader project communications skills and experience
