Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

Microsoft Cloud Supply Chain and Provisioning (CSCP) is the team behind one of the World’s largest Cloud Infrastructure responsible for powering all Microsoft Products and Services as well as powering Microsoft’s “…Cloud First…” mission.

The Capacity Management team within CSCP is at the tip of the Capacity Fulfilment promise for the Microsoft cloud, building the engineering systems that are needed to address this critical problem for Microsoft. We are a dynamic team working with customers across the globe in delivering to the promise of the Microsoft cloud. Strong empathy for the customer, deep engineering and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to stay nimble and motivated through challenges brought up by the constantly growing and expanding customer base and demand are characteristics of our team.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver software services to scale, secure, monitor and auto-manage specialized workloads on Azure.
• Partner with Product managers, business stake holders and users to understand user pain points deeply.
• Work with your team and other engineering teams to design and build innovative solutions that delight your customers.
• Build, develop and grow a healthy, diverse, world class engineering team.
• Mentor & coach engineers and be a great role model for them.
• Drive thought leadership and enable the implementation of world class Supply Chain product and to bring best in class customer experience.
• Work closely with partner teams to help simplify and manage the architecture landscape.
• Work in a culture of continuous improvement, adaptation, reflection, and growth

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BE /B. Tech in Computer Science or related field
• 12+ years of professional experience with designing, developing, and shipping highly reliable distributed systems and services
• 3+ years of experience in People Manager Role – build and grow high performing teams.
• Experience in Microsoft or Open-source tools and technologies; .Net/Java, Web services, RESTful services, messaging systems, data technologies (SQL/entity framework/etc.), JSON, XML
• Experience in Azure or AWS or Google Cloud
• Experienced in developing enterprise scale services that are performant, highly available, scalable, and maintainable.
• Experienced in DevOps, Agile development methodologies, strong focus on live site culture.
• Experience in delivering solutions for Supply Chain and specifically for Cloud infrastructure is an added advantage
• Experienced in leading, coaching, providing leadership to staff on goals, objectives, and performance success criteria. Aligns team’s commitments with organizational strategic directions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Significant experiences in at least one of the following areas desired: large scale internet applications, distributed systems, client/server and multitier architecture, engineering systems, CI/CD infrastructure.
• Experience with the UI development technologies: React and AngularJS etc.
• You understand that it’s not enough to write working code. It must also be well-designed, secure, easy to test, easy to monitor in the cloud, and easy to add to over time.
• You are willing to leverage and build on top of the work of others to quickly meet customers’ and engineers’ needs – including adopting standard cloud capabilities, process, metrics, toolsets.
• Customer obsession, passion for technology & strong analytical skills
