Responsibilities

• Working in a team of engineers in one of the above-mentioned locations with some of the largest and most scalable services in the world with non-negotiable focus on performance, availability, reliability and consistency. 
• Contributing to an inclusive and collaborative environment, with local and remote partners, to turn requirements into simple, elegant, and optimal solutions at large scale. 
• Taking the lead on design, implementation, testing, deployment and running software services. 
• Develop elegant and effective code, championing refactoring when needed and ensuring your code base, including Test suites, can be modified and maintained efficiently. 
• Ship your code to thousands of machines serving millions of users around the world, seek and analyse insights from deployed systems, and drive subsequent improvements 

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience. 
• Proficient design, coding, testing, and debugging abilities in C++, C, Rust or Java 

• Experience with designing and developing fault tolerant, high scale, distributed systems 
• Proven technical problem-solving skills. 
• Demonstrates focus on quality throughout the development process 
• Passion about high performant, high availability, reliable and consistent services. 
• Has a confident, solution- and result oriented working style combined with constructive critical thinking.
