The Role
Healthcare Group (HCG) is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to work on Defined Benefits product. The ideal candidate enjoys crafting, developing, and maintaining automated test suites to ensure product quality and release readiness. We seek hardworking individual capable of bringing a software engineering attitude to our testing practices.
The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
Strong, hands-on testing skills in automation scripting, script execution and functional testing of UI, web services applications
Fully hands on with application builds and deploys using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, uDeploy, Artifactory etc.
Hands-on experience with creating and using Virtual / Mock assets
Demonstrated highly proficient development skillset within the following:
Selenium
Java
JavaScript
Jenkins
RestAssured
Web and service-based automation
Strong demonstrated experience in delivering software solutions in an Agile environment
Experience with databases
Keenly interested in learning new technologies and their adoption
Own the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
Azure Cloud Services experience is a PLUS
Experience with Defined Product Domain a PLUS
Evaluate and recommend technology and automation frameworks for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market
You will guide the team to build regression test strategy & end to end
Experience in working with REST or SOAP based Webservices
You are a multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of technologies and test automation frameworks and solutions
You’re able to quickly assess and become knowledgeable about subject matter/become the subject matter expert
Good interpersonal, relationship management and facilitation skills
Aggressively pursue new technologies and their adoption
Developing and implementing a scalable, efficient, and maintainable automation platform
Leads test script reviews and mentors QA / Squad members on tool and technologies
Actively participating in development and dev ops task in addition to testing
Leading the squad with testing, deployment, and integration best practices
Creating an efficient and effective continuous integration and delivery pipeline
The Team
The Defined Benefit group is part of the healthcare group where we deliver innovative and groundbreaking digital solutions to help Fidelity’s clients and participants. DB is experiencing significant growth with new client implementation and next generation technology upgrade. The individual will establish new automation infrastructure, maintain existing automation, build reusable tests artifacts to streamline testing process. You will be part of DB QA Chapter assigned to a scrum team that’s building the new Literature Platform to cater to both large/mid-market clients. Key areas of focus will be standardizing of DB Product Regression Suite and collaborating with application teams to develop automation frameworks and drive time to market approach through automation
