The Digital Contracting team at Cox Automotive has an open position for a Senior Software Engineer. About the position
As a Senior Software Engineer you will play a large role in defining your scrum team’s technical direction.
You will understand and embrace the technical direction and plan your own work to meet given objectives and milestones.
You will be responsible for coaching and guiding scrum team members on engineering best practices and lead them to become high performing within the team.
You will investigate, define, and resolve complex issues, exercising substantial personal responsibility and autonomy.
You will strive to own and drive continuous improvement within your scrum team and make decisions which influence the success of projects and team objectives.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will ensure that the end-product has quality baked into its core.
An ideal candidate will have at least 5-8 years of experience.
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $84,660 – 118,626. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience.
Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Technology Skills
While our stack is primarily Python, Django, SQL Alchemy, React, Mongo and Oracle with a spattering of .Net, the ideal candidate is a polyglot for whom programming language is not a barrier
Has experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and various deployment methodologies
Experience in creating and deploying scalable (RESTful) API’s leveraging API gateways
Experience in breaking a monolith into smaller services is a plus
Ideally a full-stack engineer not limited to programming languages and one who does not shy away from dabbling in network, storage, infrastructure, or security. Someone, who can provide valuable guidance to the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practice
Has had experience in moving complex on-prem workloads to AWS and help us do it again, including experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
