The Role

In FFIO Market Data organization, we continually challenge the status quo, to process and deliver millions of messages to millions of users. We’re always deliberating, experimenting, researching, and collaborating on groundbreaking ideas to deliver the real-time market data to our retail and institutional users. We are currently working on developing real-time pricing ticker plant software to operate fully on public cloud.

We have multi-functional agile teams dedicated to different parts of Market Data applications.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 7+ Years of experience in developing Enterprise applications in Java, Spring Boot, and SQL
  • Experience in designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance
  • Experience in optimizing large, complicated SQL statements
  • Development Experience in Snowflake, Go, Python, Groovy, and Shell Scripting is a plus.
  • Experience with automated testing (unit/functional and/or performance)
  • Bachelors and/or master’s in computer science or other related field
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery is a plus
  • Experience working with AWS and or any other public clouds like GCP/Azure
  • You are delivery focused with end-to-end ownership
  • You are familiar with agile development and ability to work well with others
  • You have strong commitment to learn and implement high standards in engineering
  • Good attitude towards troubleshooting skills that span systems, network, and applications

The Team

The FFIO Market Data Engineering team delivers and supports innovative market data service solutions to meet the needs of internal business partners and external customers. Our systems and data professionals thrive with an unrelenting dedication to innovation, which develops a culture of continuous improvement supporting a differentiated market data experience for Fidelity associates and customers.

The position itself requires a strong background in application development, testing, deployment, with familiarity of cloud computing. You will have the opportunity to build applications that use Snowflake and AWS. You must be a self-starter who is passionate about the technology you are building and eager to produce world-class services. You should enjoy working on eclectic technologies in a team environment where your success depends heavily on the success of your team and organization. You should have an appetite and appreciation for new technologies and their disruptive influence.

This is a very exciting position with exposure to the core Fidelity financial business applications, comprised of both custom and 3rd party products.

As a member of FFIO Market Data Engineering team, you will be working on developing modern market data applications and operate them over the public clouds. You will be helping millions of Fidelity customers make financial decisions based on the quality of data delivered through these applications.
