We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can passionately design and implement solutions for scale and high performance. â€¯An ideal candidate will have a good understanding of building distributed systems with a focus on building services and data pipelines. You will be engineering these solutions while enabling solid engineering practices, automation tooling and telemetry insights across our web sites. You will be working in a collaborative and fun environment with peers across disciplines including PMs, designers, developers, and scientists. The WebXT Team in Hyderabad, is part of Microsoft’s India Development Centre(IDC) in Hyderabad (and home offices at cities across the country for the time being). The team is responsible for driving the overall strategy in search and AI Platforms – spanning consumer and enterprise customers. Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and always available services which deliver high performance applications and services. 
• Ability to design and build an efficient data pipeline that can run at scale.
• Obsession about the impact on customer experience.
• Collaborate with PM teams and Partner teams across discipline to achieve the above.
• Mentor other developers on the team. Participate and drive code and design reviews

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in building large scale distributed systems and services. 
• 7+ years of experience developing in one or more of the following programming languages: C#/Java/C++/C etc. 
• Experience building large scale consumer web applications serving millions of customers is a definite plus. 
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills. 

Additional/Preferred Skills: 

• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or related engineering field. 
• Experience with Machine Learning and Natural Language processing.
