Responsibilities

• Working on architecture, design and implementation of infrastructure and platform level needs for Kubernetes, OpenStack, OpenShift and AKS.
• Full lifecycle software development of Cloud Native components: high and low-level design work, coding and code review, component integration, test pipelines, problem investigation, debugging and fixing, and support.
• Working as part of an agile team to deliver complex componentry, ensuring our high carrier-grade quality bar is met. 

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of work experience in C/C++, Python software development with at least 6 years developing cloud native products.
• Minimum of 2 years of Go development experience is a plus.
• Experience with all aspects of the software development and lifecycle management process of open-source applications.
• Expert level proficiency with Kubernetes/Container-Orchestration/Docker/API-Authentication
• Expert level proficiency with Istio Service Mesh and Kubernetes Operators is a plus.
• Above average proficiency with Helm/Helm-Operator/Flagger/Argo.
• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger
• Experience deploying microservices on Kubernetes in a private data center, Azure, and at least one other public cloud environment.
• Networking proficiency with projects like Calico, Weave, Octavia, Cri-o, and external load balancing solutions.
• Experience with VM virtualization: Hyper-V, OSP, and deploying various storage solutions.
