The Technology Product team at Microsoft's Web Experiences Team is looking for a software engineer who’s passionate about developing user facing products with millions of daily active users all over the world. We innovate and build the great search experiences which help users navigate the tech labyrinth. Whether it’s about finding the right app for a task or setting up your favorite smart TV - Millions of users consume the experiences we build on a daily basis. This is in line with our company mission to empower every individual and organization on the planet to achieve more. 

The team works on the latest state-of-art ML tech to understand user query and data, builds both backend and frontend services to satisfy users, monitors product quality and react to issues in a timely manner. Everything is at web scale – billions of queries at milliseconds of latency. You’ll be flexible to work on any one or multiple areas.

Responsibilities

Typical Job Responsibilities will include the below 

1. Data Analysis to identify gaps in the system and potential solutions to overcome those. 
2. Work with multiple partner teams to develop and improve cohesive services. 
3. Design with focus on reliability and resiliency. 
4. Support and influence the team culture of being customer centric and continuously improving. 
5. Support a learning environment by influencing and mentoring junior engineers. 

Qualifications

1. B.E or M. Tech in Computer Science or equivalent degree 
2. Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving skills 
3. 5+ years of experience in Software Development 
4. Good communication skills. 
5. Exposure to Data Sciences /Machine Learning background would be a plus.  
6. Experience in Search domain would be a plus.
