About the team (Bing Sports): We power sports experiences across all Microsoft canvases. SOTA near real time data ingestion backend, AI driven data enrichment and an UX stack which powers sports data experiences across multiple Microsoft products, such as Microsoft News, Bing, MSN, Outlook, etc. Microsoft Sports Experience Team is looking for a self-motivated, creative full stack engineer with strong computer science fundamentals to champion quality customer experience. You will get a chance to work on complex, global challenges and deliver groundbreaking solutions that shape the way sports fans consumes content.
Current position enables you to be part of the evolving intelligent sports experience where you will be responsible for:
• Implement scalable backend data platforms to enable various experiences
• Architect efficient and reusable systems that drive complex web application
• Use Machine Learning/AI/Natural Language Processing to enrich our data
• Implement web or mobile interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Work closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications and build the next generation of products
Build engaging end-to-end customer experiences across various Microsoft ecosystems.
You will be one of the key team members on the team working on next Microsoft Sports experiences, leading a small group of engineers. You will build and leverage an array of features, tools, and drive the bar higher for quality of user experience. You will also engage very closely with other key partner teams that are dependent on our platform and experiences, to drive end-to-end scenario validation to help increase our user growth. This position offers great career-growth potential as well as the impact and visibility across the entire Microsoft organization. Being at the very core of Microsoft engineering, it also offers great exposure to the latest software and hardware technology trends in the search industry.
A qualified candidate should have a proven track record of shipping software, should have excellent technical knowledge, excellent communication, and cross-group/discipline collaboration skills. In addition, a successful candidate should have experience leading small teams and owning end-to-end delivery of complex software products.
A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in technical roles, solid shipping experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience with proficiency in C/C++ or C#
• 5+ years of experience with web technologies: JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, jQuery.
• Fluency with at least one scripting language such as JavaScript, React or PHP.
• Demonstrable skills and experience using SQL and NoSQL data stores.
Passion for sports is a plus
