The Opportunity

The Adobe Commerce Engineering Extensibility team is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to develop the next generation API platform for Adobe Commerce. Join us in our vision towards microservices and distributed deployments as we begin to decouple our capabilities into an extensible and independent storefront application that can be scaled independently.

What you'll do

• Define, design, implement and deliver high-quality features for our next generation Adobe Commerce Platform.

• Champion the research: you will work directly with product teams to transition research results into real-world usage.

• Ensure high quality by following coding standard methodologies, code reviews, crafting test plans to ensure that the code can perform at mass scale when thousands upon thousands of people are using it at the same time.

• When we ask about architectural frameworks, you easily dig up your knowledge and standard methodologies; and know how to interact and connect with different partners in our organization.

• Ensure a strong emphasis on monitoring and metrics for analyzing health and usage of features.

• Contribute to a robust engineering team to craft, implement, test and build key solutions for these services.

What you need to succeed

• 5+ years' experience in demonstrating strong development knowledge of JavaScript and Typescript

• Experience with modern JS patterns and tooling, e.g., Node.js

• Proficient working on Microservices design patterns

• Proven experience with GraphQL API development

• Experience as a user of CI systems; Jenkins preferred

• Experience deploying and maintaining production code. Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus

• Ability to multi-task and work through problems independently

• Excellent Communications skills (written & verbal)

• Bachelors/Master’s degree with a focus in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field
