Microsoft DSR is responsible for company-wide information security and compliance, with a strategic focus on information protection, assessment, awareness, governance, and enterprise business continuity. As customer zero, we deploy and secure these services inside Microsoft, influece security designs of Microsoft's products and share best practices with enterprise customers at scale across the globe. 

We are looking for a passionate engineer to architect, design and build security solutions for protecting Microsoft assets. To succeed in this role you should have proven software development experience, ability to translate business problems into technical designs and solutions while maintaining obsession and passion for security, automation, reliability, and customer experience. You will work in a team that develops tools, features and capabilities to accelerate our enterprise risk management and resilience initiatives  based upon a solid foundation of secure software engineering. Software you develop will form the backbone of security initiatives across various segments of enterprise security such as risk management, privacy, compliance, business continuity, crisis management, penetration testing/red teaming, cloud security, engineering environment/infrastructure security, etc. The role will also expose you to exciting security engineering challenges of building software that uses various emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging and mitigating incidents in live production environments.
• Work closely with Product Management and Design disciplines to shape the service infrastructure/product/solution.
• Perform livesite/devops engineering for services with top-notch monitoring, dashboards, and troubleshooting.
• Contributing to team wide engineering fundamentals/infrastructure investments.
• Investigating and prototyping new technologies and frameworks
• Foster a culture of being agile, innovative, team-oriented, and customer-focused.

Qualifications

• BTech in Computer Science or related technical degree or equivalent experience.
  
• 5+ years of software development experience for a production environment
• Proficiency in C#/Java/TypeScript/JavaScript, popular programming frameworks (OSS/.Net) and DevOps toolsets (Git, ADO, Terraform, etc.)
  
• Excellent design, coding, debugging and problem solving skills.
  
• Strong understanding of secure coding and security design issues in software.
  
• Experience working on cloud application development (Azure, AWS, or other cloud platform) and in application security, or in developing secure software & infrastructure
  
• Experience working with relational database platforms (MS SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) or NoSQL stores.
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work through ambiguous situations, excellent cross-team collaboration skills.
