The Role

Asset Management Technology is looking for a hardworking, highly motivated Database Engineer with strong understanding of programming fundamentals, software design and practices to join our Engineering team, developing solutions using Database technologies – Oracle – PLSQL, ETL, mid-tier technologies – Java/Spring and cloud deployment and services supporting the Asset Management organization.

The Expertise & Skills You Bring

• Proven experience with SQL, PLSQL & ETL development
• Knack for writing clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code
• Proven understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
• Exposure with middleware Java stack and Spring frameworks is a plus
• Understanding of AWS services and deployment
• Experience working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to CI/CD.
• Passionate about engineering excellence with a strong understanding of object-orientated programming.
• Exposure to Python is a plus
• Exposure to Test Automation is a plus
• Experience with how to operate in an Agile environment
• Deliver using an Acceptance Test development (ATDD) approach

Team

Strategic Advisors Technology (SAT) team develops & supports Managed Account Platform leveraging extensive analytical, research, and management capabilities to package the best of Fidelity and the marketplace into unique solutions that meet strategic and customized targets while solving for our clients' business, investment, or retirement objectives.
