What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Software Engineer of the Reliability Engineering team, you will work in a highly collaborative environment with development, infrastructure and business teams globally distributed with the main goal to ensure that our mission critical application and underlying systems are healthy and designed for scale maintaining Dell’s Order management excellence and, hence, exceptional customer experience.

The candidate is passionate about a role that involves full stack visibility, a broad knowledge in application, databases, servers, virtualization, networking and requires extensive automation.  Bring your passion and dedication to work with an amazing team to quickly turn ideas into great product!

You will:

• Own Dell Order management applications that require .NET, Oracle EBS knowledge, skills on SQL and Job Scheduler.
• Identify reliability opportunities proposing major functional or performance enhancements for existing system products such as solution redesign or reliability solution development.
• Develop our Reliability development using PowerShell, C#, .NET, Angular and SQLDevelop engineering solutions and automation through AI/ML
• Works with other Dell Digital groups, vendors, and business units to lead, monitor and improve system performance
• Work with Security team proactively to mitigate security risks.

Essential Requirements

• Knowledge of DevOps engineering practices, CI/CD toolsets (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, etc.)
• Automation Experience – Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Grafana, etc.
• Experience with scripting languages in Windows and Linux (PowerShell/Bash)
• Experience with application systems administration in Azure or other cloud provider
• Experience with microservices architectures and containerization platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker and Experience with Oracle and MongoDB DBMS
• Ability to read application source codes in .Net, C#, Java and SQL and be able to troubleshoot application issues in production. ​

Desirable Requirements

• Cloud Foundry / Pivotal methodology and ITIL
• Passionate about SRE, DevOps, Automation and infrastructure platforms. Must excel with agile and lean development practices and manage multiple priorities and multiple roles.
