The team uses a wide range of technologies with full-stack development in both Windows and Linux environments. We believe in “right tool for the right job” philosophy and are comfortable experimenting with new technologies. We create systems that form the backbone of Bloomberg's internal functions which requires our data to be highly distributed using the latest virtualization and containerization technologies, as well as distribution mechanisms such as message queueing using RabbitMQ and Kafka. You'll also be working with forward looking API designs such as OpenAPI and GraphQL leveraging stateless containerization technologies such as docker and OpenStack for hosting.

Our team:

It is critical for any company to know their customers well and have a solid system to offer solutions to them. We in Bloomberg provide great services in these areas. Our customer data system offers resilient and performant access to the entire Bloomberg platform 24x7; We also create and maintain Bloomberg's sales process which feeds into service delivery and billing in real time. Without us, new sales and their timely execution would not be possible. From receiving orders to billing clients (and everything in between), Bloomberg's billions of dollars of revenue are processed through our systems each year.

You'll need to have:

•  3+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years of experience in C++ or C#
•  Strong communication skills AND analytical and creative problem solving skills
•  Good understanding of object oriented design
•  Good understanding of service-oriented architecture
•  Relational database experience

We'd love to see:

•  Experience with a scripting language, e.g., JavaScript, Python
•  Hands on experience with Linux
