Our team is looking for a senior software engineering lead to help develop a world-class, customer-centered engineering infrastructure. You will work with Azure CXP Program Managers and Data Scientists as well as other Azure engineering teams and the Field, Marketing and Support organizations to define and deliver critical, customer-facing features and the tools, infrastructure and end-to-end solutions required for all the rapidly expanding programs in Azure CXP.   

This role will have a measurable impact in customer growth and satisfaction for one of the fastest growing businesses at Microsoft.  The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skills in full stack development, manage, nurture, and lead a high-caliber engineering team. Candidate should be adept at applying his/ her experience with a focus on problem solving and building an end-to-end system.  In this role, you will need strong customer empathy and an ability to focus our engineering efforts on Azure’s business priorities.  As we drive to increase Azure customer adoption, satisfaction, and consumption, you will need to carefully balance agility and the need to meet our partner teams’ immediate needs with building scalable, robust and reusable solutions. 

Qualifications

You must MUST possess the following attributes: 

• 12+ years of experience in technical roles, solid shipping experience 
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing a team delivery, performance, mentoring 
• Ability to nurture and grow talent 
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills 
• Fluent in Azure Stack, Web Applications & API Development, Service & Platform Management, E2E Life Cycle Management. React JS Experience is a plus 
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent 
• Lead a team of passionate high-calibre engineers developing and coaching them to higher performance and engagement 
• Work independently and collaboratively with other teams across Globe to land the common goals while maintaining consistency in results 
• Strong passion for technology and Innovative thinking on envisioning of service roadmaps and delivering end to end 
• Connecting technical roadmaps to measurable outcomes through deep understanding of business and technical goals 
• Inculcate strong engineering thinking within team to enable strong Engineering productivity outcomes 
• Bring in & Drive changes to improve productivity, predictability, platforms in line with organizational aspirations & culture 
• Ability to take risks and put a structure around it and achieve the goals with focus on people, quality 

These attributes are preferred: 

• Experience in querying and analyzing data using Scope, SQL, Kusto/Splunk etc 
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
