The Role
Asset Management Quant Research Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer in Test who not only cares about what you produce but how you produce it. We are looking for individuals who continually strive to advance engineering excellence and technology innovation. This role is focused on hands-on development and delivery, which requires a combination of both strong technical and influencing skills, as well as participation in architecture, design and analysis activities.
The role will be available in Boston, MA; Merrimack, NH; Smithfield, RI; or Raleigh, NC.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics or Finance related field
5+ years of software engineering experience delivering software using agile development practices
Proven expertise in defining test cases at the right level of detail and define test cases and ensure acceptance criteria matches real business value – i.e. ensure we are testing the right things
Expert knowledge in test automation frameworks and demonstrate proficiency, quality and passion in your coding ability.
Proven knowledge of the SDLC process and how different test types from unit, behavioral, component & E2E are used through the cycle.
Curate the suite of tests to ensure a minimal comprehensive set (eliminate duplication, recognize gaps)
Comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
Passionate about engineering excellence with a strong understanding of object-orientated programming.
Understand how to deliver using an Acceptance Test-Driven development (ATDD) and Behavior Driven development (BDD) approach
Working in a fast-paced Agile software development environment
Understand architecture principles of a distributed system and how to appropriately define a test strategy at the component and system level

Participate in application design efforts and are active in design reviews and code reviews of test automation.
Evolve our processes, practices, and standards around test automation.
Fully engaging in product quality plan efforts, including test case development, design, code reviews and regression testing.
Contribute to enhancing engineering practice in the areas of ATDD and CI/CD.
The Team
Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Operations functions. We are seeking a Principal, Software Engineer to join our Quantitative Research & Investing Technology organization. This role will be part of our Quantitative Engineering team, which is responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining a new quant research oriented meta-data programming language.
