The Opportunity
Engineers at MyPGS (HR-IT) work on the design, development, and deployment of our top-tier development capabilities. You will be responsible for owning core components of product deliveries and ensuring their quality and test coverage. You’ll work cross-functionally with other disciplines and with other engineers on the team. You will be responsible for taking direction from a technical lead and reporting back progress. You’ll work together to create deadlines and deliverables which you will wholly own.
The Challenge(s):
Demonstrate ability to mix engineering best practices with complex business problems to create best-in-class solutions that are scalable, documented, robust and supportable.
Creating custom applications to deliver employee functionality while interacting behind the scenes with enterprise systems like Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, and others to deliver top employee experiences.
Solving problems in a domain that spans Global Payroll, Expat, Tax, Relocation, Talent, etc.
Working closely with a team to deliverer end-to-end employee-facing products.
Maintaining a high bar for code quality, testing, and automation while delivering on needed improvements.
Mentoring and coaching other engineers through code reviews and other means.

Qualifications
Required
2+ years of development experience
1+ years of professional experience in AWS Serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFront, SQS, Event Bridge etc.)
Experience with REST APIs and Event Driven architectures
Ability to take abstract business problems and deliver quality solutions
Ability to give clear deep answers on the why behind technology decisions
A desire to build fully automated applications with global availably
Passion for learning and problem solving
The ideal candidate would work in Cincinnati, but there is potential to work 100% remotely.
