The Role
 

Are you a full stack developer who thrives on dynamic work in a collaborative team environment? If so, look no further! The team is seeking a full stack software engineer to participate in technology activities related to web application development and maintenance. This includes reviewing system design specs, contributing to technical design documentation, coding, unit testing, conducting development-led integration testing, and defect resolution throughout all phases. The successful candidate will have proven expertise in both client-side (presentation layer) and server-side (integration/controller layer) web development while following an Agile development methodology. In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement technical solutions for customer-facing web applications
• Perform software development using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular 9+ technologies
• Develop automated tests to ensure accurate coverage of the code base
• Participate within an Agile squad chipping in to story refinement, story completion, and participation in all related Scrum events
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation
• Follow quality processes including collaborative code design review and automated unit testing and provide application support through defect analysis and resolution

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 5+ years of web application development experience
• Ability to collaborate optimally with multi-functional teams including Architecture, QA, and Systems Analysis from other organizations
• Proven experience with agile development methodologies and strong web application support capability
• Effective written/verbal communication skills
• Fast learner with a proven ability to work remotely and quickly become effective in a new position
• Strong Angular 8 skills (experience with AngularJS and Angular hybrid applications a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in a technology related field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) is required

This dynamic team is part of Fidelity Brokerage Technology improving the value of Fidelity’s Wealthscape product. You work in partnership with Squad Leaders and other Chapter Leaders aligned to the FCCS Operations Experience and Integration Solutions Tribes.
