Job Description:

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with extensive software development experience to augment the PI Cloud Platform Engineering team. This position involves building tools to support cloud enablement; DevOps pipelines with a focus on achieving repeatable processes that deploy solutions of high value. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in development practices in cloud and will have very good understanding of DevOps processes. They will be able to navigate the inherent complexities and ensure we are protecting the enterprise while creating scalable cloud based solutions.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

BS/BA degree

3 years knowledge and experience working in technology with various cloud technology platforms

Strong public cloud understanding; Primarily of AWS

Experience with AWS; in particular with IAM, Networking, and CloudFormation

Experience in developing cloud solutions.

Skilled in Python or Java, Node JS, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code.

Proficiency with CI/CD tools and implementing pipelines using Groovy(Jenkins) or Github Actions or Gitlab.

Experience with building secure cloud solutions.

Experience in developing and maturing IT processes and procedures.

Proficient communication skills with an ability to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Solid understanding of how to build self-service solutions to be used by application teams.

Preferred, but not mandatory: experience in retail financial markets or another highly regulated industry

The PI Platform Engineering organization is responsible for enabling Personal Investing (PI) to innovate, accelerate delivery, and compete as a Digital Business by providing platforms, frameworks, security capabilities, and expertise that empower autonomous, agile development teams to deliver their unique value to our customers. You will be accountable for building tools and processes to advance the organization’s ability to leverage cloud for solving challenges in order to enhance the developer experience, increases autonomy, and accelerates delivery of new products and features.
