Description and Requirements

BMC Is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (with a focus on Data) to join our Innovation Labs team in Israel. The BMC Innovation Labs brings together customers, partners, and employees to accelerate the development of new and relevant solutions that create value. Think of a start up type environment with the backing of a $2BN enterprise firm working on incubation style projects! 

In this team you will help to foster innovation by creating spaces for experimentation, advance ideas that generate disruptive technologies and accelerating prototyping and development of new capabilities. 

The team have worked on some fascinating projects to date including Edge / IoT, Augmented Reality and AIOps to name a few.  

In this role, you will be working as part of a small agile development team and will be responsible for the development of these innovation style projects. 

Must-have experience/criteria for role:

• Experience with either Java or Python
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases (ideally Postgres and Cassandra)
• Experience with one of the large cloud providers (AWS / Google Cloud / Azure)
• Experience with Kubernetes / Docker

Nice to have’s

• Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Technical experience in developing and releasing enterprise solutions to market
