With a rapidly growing volume of close to an exabyte of protected data for the hybrid cloud, join us in our journey of building a truly general data protection platform which will serve as the foundation to help protect any workload (VMs, Containers, SQL, OSS Databases, File Server, Blobs etc.) running on any cloud (private, hosted, Azure, etc.) and hypervisor (Hyper-V, VMware). We are building a highly scalable multitenant layered architecture solution, consisting of loosely coupled micro services integrated with Azure Portal that allows customers to centrally and consistently manage and monitor workloads across all clouds in a single pane.

Responsibilities

As a critical part of the Core Azure team, Azure Backup offers the opportunity to learn how to build and run a world class Azure service from industry experts with technology stacks spanning operating system fundamentals, high scale data movers, distributed workloads, highly performant cross platform code bases, REST based management and control plane interfaces and UX components.  We follow an agile monthly sprint model with full stack development model  and pride ourselves on the strong Live Site, customer obsessed culture and encourage diverse skill set and points of views.

We are looking for an experienced Engineer who is passionate about API Design, building extensible components, who is data driven, and efficient in building services of high quality. If you enjoy taking risks, learning from mistakes, contributing to success of others, love to tackle hard engineering challenges, and want to make real, continuous, customer impact, then this is the group for you! 

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud technologies
• Solid Computer Science fundamentals and coding skills in C/C++/C#
• Strong experience in building distributed systems and driving their performance.
• Strong experience in multi-threaded, asynchronous, and systems programming.
• Strong technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent industry experience
• Effective interpersonal skills
