Job Description:

Fidelity Investments is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Fidelity Customer Protection Services (FCPS) team within the Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) business unit. The ECS organization is responsible for delivering appropriate security solutions to ensure enterprise resources are protected in a constantly evolving cyber-threat landscape.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Expertise in designing and building large-scale highly-available, resilient, secure, scalable, cloud-native (AWS, Azure) digital enterprise applications on micro-services, serverless and event-driven architectures using domain driven design and 12-factor app patterns
• Experience with Cloud-based high-stream event messaging/Kafka (ex. market open) implementations and managing concurrency
• Cloud-native REST API development leveraging JAVA, Spring Boot and annotations (Swagger)
• Ownership of the entire secure SSDL, and extensive experience with DevOps CI/CD practices, TDD, BDD, automated security and quality testing, modern test and mock frameworks and service virtualization tools to rapidly deliver, measure, and iterate features to customers while minimizing risk using practices like A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles
• Proven ability in mentoring and guiding software engineers, and influencing and working with architects, engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable robust application solutions
• A proven foundation in software engineering – bachelor’s degree + preferred, 10+ years’ experience
• Data Streaming & Messaging Technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, SQS)
• Event Driven application design and development utilizing Kafka
• Strong background in design patterns and critical thinking skills to design end-to-end solutions
• Experience and comfort working in an agile environment (Scrum and Kanban)
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to facilitate collaboration across technology and business partners without having a direct authority over people
