Digital Transformation initiatives have resulted in explosion of data, originating from a variety of sources ranging from sensor data emitted by IOT devices on the edge to log data from data centers in the cloud. These data assets needs to be ingested, transformed and correlated before they can be leveraged for machine learning and analytics.  Our customers need the ability to leverage these data assets within their enterprises and share it with partners without violating privacy and data sovereignty rules and regulations. Our team is developing market leading products that help our customers address these emerging data management challenges at hyperscale.

Responsibilities

You will be a hands-on technical leader working closely with architects, engineers, product managers and research teams in India and Redmond to design and develop key capabilities of the next generation of data management and governance products. You should be able to translate business requirements into efficient technical design collaborating with architects and facilitate development of the same with the engineering team. In addition you will provide strong engineering leadership/mentorship to other engineers and raise the technical bar for the entire team.

We are looking for individuals with substantial technical depth and demonstrated abilities in design and development of end-to-end large scale data management systems and cloud platforms. Prior experience in Azure and working on architecting/developing an end-to-end data quality enterprise product on any cloud platform is a bonus.  You should be an agile learner with passion for product design and innovation and be comfortable collaborating with senior level architects, engineers as well as applied researchers to push the envelope of product in terms of capabilities and efficiency. As a senior technical leader, you should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity while iterating rapidly in a startup like environments with entrepreneurial can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer/architect building commercial software and a proven track record of working on successful software products & services
• 5+ years of experience in technical/architectural lead roles with all aspects of software development spanning incubation to delivery.
• Good design skills along with coding proficiency in Java, Scala, C++, .NET, C etc.
• Hands on experience working with internals of data processing engines/frameworks (SQL Engines, Hive, Spark etc)
• Experience working in agile teams or startup environments with strong customer focus
• BE/MS in Computer Science or associated discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with architects, engineers and applied research teams alike.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies such as creating clarity and delivering success
• Development experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS.
• Exposure to emerging data privacy regulations such as GDPR/CCPA, while not required, is a bonus
