What You’ll Do

In this position, you will be leading the architecture strategy of our product in partnership with other Spark & Adobe teams.

• Opportunity to lead feature development from concept definition all the way to shipping product, helping to craft the future architectural direction

• Expected to be hands-on, supporting the development process and working closely with the other developers

• Work with all levels of the organization to understand requirements and to recommend modern solutions to meet goals

• Review design specs and engineering docs and influence the direction of our engineering efforts

• Analyze and fix product performance bottlenecks to ensure the best user experience and pave the road for new and more advanced features.

What you’ll need to succeed

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

• Wide background and experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of sophisticated features and delivery of large‐scale web applications in real-world situations, that have a meaningful business impact, decommissioning older versions and simplifying the whole ecosystem

• Experience delivering platform and architecture recommendations based on product requirements and industry-standard methodologies

• A proven understanding of application development technology used (JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, jQuery, React, Web Components, Webpack, AWS)

• Experience in application design patterns and principles, CI/CD development methodologies, tools, and developer experience.

• Deep understanding of how distributed resilient software is built and deployed, proven experience with larger projects (large codebases)

• Knowledge of web application security, performance, and scalability.

• You have solved tough problems on the web previously and “know the ropes” of that area.

• A passion for learning new platforms, languages, frameworks, and practices

• Strong communication skills and teamwork experience
