Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Security Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to drive customer transformation in our Security Solutions.  You will own the customer engagements, including architecture, implementation, and production. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and success in leading in-depth technical security architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Security Architects, Enterprise Architects, IT Management, and Developers to drive Security as an enabler for Azure workloads.

Key responsibilities include:

Understanding Customer/Partner Technical Environment

  • Gathers customer/partner insights (e.g., feedback around technical preferences, environments, business needs) and leverages these insights and existing plans to map solutions with customer/partner business outcomes. Learns to adapt business models, plans, and solutions to insights.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer (VOC)/partner by driving awareness of existing feedback, gaps, blockers, insights, resources, etc. across communities to track, add, and prioritize, using established channels (e.g., UAT/TFT).

Architecture Design and Deployment

  • Leverages an existing architecture approach or reference architecture to propose a solution or achieve Microsoft's agreed commitments to the customer/partner. Assesses customer/partner needs and gathers information that helps others to identify growth opportunities.
  • Proposes viable solutions based on specific technical products. demonstrates complex concepts, and proves the capability of those solutions through design collaboration sessions with the customer/partner.
  • Applies technical knowledge of architecture solutions to meet business and information technology (IT) requirements and resolve identified technical constraints. shaping and enhancing customers' requirements.
  • Supports customer/partner projects as a subject matter expert in a specific architecture solution and throughout pre-sales and/or implementation.
  • Identifies technical blockers (e.g., changing configurations, sample coding) for selected products to accelerate architecture implementations and routes non-technical issues for removal by the appropriate party.
  • Applies methodology and governance, as directed, to minimize business and technical risks and adhere to quality assurance while contributing to design and/or delivery of solutions. Demonstrates an understanding of customer/partner conditions of success.

Practice Development

  • Supports research projects and contributes to scoping surveys for customers/partners to assess potential intellectual property (IP) needs or process changes. Learns to identify opportunities for IP re-use and consumption.

Trusted Advisor

  • Identifies and begins developing impactful relationships with internal teams and customer and partner specialists during initial preparation and ramp-up stages.
  • Respectfully challenges customers/partners when going in the wrong direction and escalates appropriately.
  • Understands the competitor's architecture solutions and identifies Microsoft's strengths over competitive solutions to demonstrate Microsoft's value to customers/partners.

Thought Leadership

  • Shares ideas, insight, and technical input with virtual team members, using a working knowledge of specific Microsoft architectures and other relevant products. Actively looks for relevant communities to learn from and contribute to.
  • Participates in external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and shares learnings with the internal team.

Customer Usage

  • Participates in discussions around architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization that result in production deployment application and increase customer business value. Ensures that the customer's environment and applications are well-architected.

Qualifications

We are currently hiring across a variety of teams with various levels of skills and experiences required. Below maps the minimum required qualifications to be considered for these positions.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
  • At least 1+ year experience in one or more of the following:
    • Cloud Security Engineering (Azure Security Infrastructure, Databases, Networking, Virtual Machines; Azure Secrets and Keys; Azure Identity; Troubleshooting of data logging and audit, security monitoring; Azure Governance and Compliance; Microsoft Defender for Identity; Azure Sentinel; Microsoft Client/Server Operating Systems Security, including related services Certificate Authority, authentication/authorization mechanisms, encryption, health attestation; Microsoft Security recommendation experience Securing Privileged Access, Credential Theft Mitigations; Azure Security Services Azure Advanced Threat Protection, Azure Information Protection, Azure Security Center, Azure Log Analytics; Security Threat Landscape experience including advanced attack vectors and tools Pass the Hash, Golden Ticket, ransomware)
    • Infrastructure Security (Cloud workload protection; Threat protection, WAF Web Application Firewall, Stateful firewall; Data encryption and protection key services; SIEM, and Cloud Security Analytics; Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response; Security Operation Center; Identity and Access Management
    • Experience working in cyber security (Information Security, InfoSec, SecOps, Security Operations, SOC, CSOC, CDOC, analyst, researcher, etc.)

Experience managing, designing, or supporting network infrastructure (cloud and/or on premise). ISE AAA, RSA, etc

Prefered Qualifications 

.• Certifications like GCIA, GSLC, GCIH, CISM, CISSP, CEH, etc. are plus.
• Certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, etc.
