JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this role is support and work alongside the Assistant SEO Manager with the day to day management and optimisation of the SEO channel. Working closely with the wider digital marketing team, you will be responsible for building and optimising our organic performance for Evans Cycles and Lovells.

The Responsibility

• You will be co-ordinating the production of on-page SEO optimisations as well as being involved hands-on creation
• Make and implement recommendations to improve SEO channel performance and rankings
• Recommend changes to website architecture, content, internal linking and other factors to improve SEO rankings for target keywords
• Perform regular keyword research in-line with business objectives and seasonality to identify new areas for growth
• Use the tools Botify and Screaming Frog to identify issues that can cause a negative impact in SERP. Perform in-depth technical SEO audit of websites and provide and implement improvements
• Use tools including PiDatametrics and SEMRush for insights and highlight opportunities to improve performance
• Work with our SEO content writers and internal editorial team to drive SEO in content creation, optimise copy on category pages, buying guides and landing pages
• Work with key stakeholders across the Trading team and wider business to implement SEO strategy drive brand/non-brand visibility
• Assist with link building strategies. Perform backlink link audits

QUALIFICATIONS

• This is a hands on experience in an SEO-focused role
• An advanced understanding of SEO and Google's ranking algorithm
• Competent implementing on-page and off-page SEO techniques
• Experienced creating and implementing content strategies designed to entice and engage readers
• Analytical and able to make data-driven decisions to prioritise projects and optimise content to improve KPIs
• Experienced using content management systems
• Experience with keyword research and strategy, daily optimisation, test plan construction, and in-depth analysis
• Research skills to identify, build, and prioritise essential keyword sets
• Ability to confidently report on key performance metrics across a variety of tools
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects
• Genuine passion for SEO and online marketing
• Experience with content marketing and social campaigns
• People management skills
• Strong written and communication skills
• Working under pressure and to tight deadlines
