Specialty sales development/expansion
- Fully understand product portfolio undertaken and set own strategy to meet given target
- Constantly update market intelligence and catch customers’ explicit needs
- Identify short-term and spot chances to penetrate market quickly
- Develop long-term partnership customers and seed business
- Execute sales projects both self-driven and top-down effectively
- Develop sound project pipelines to drive either sales volume or good profit
- Manage time in balance to retain sales fundamental as well as hunt new growth platform opportunities
- Suggest pricing tactics for gaining market share
- Retain certain level of technical knowledge and collaborate with/consult Technical Service and Application team
Key Account Management
- Retain “Be Preferred†choice by key accounts
- Be up-to-date on key accounts business plan, current progress, and other events
- Maintain thorough understanding of its organization and identify key decision makers/influencers
- Be diligent to develop/retain networks with key people and make level-to-level connection to solidify relationship
- Be vigilant on PESTLE changes and take necessary actions in advance of sudden upside/downside
- Keep watch on sales trend and reflect to demand forecast
Business Acumen
- Accurate demand forecast
- Diligent data management
- Regular report by week and month
- AR management
- Pricing strategy execution
- Quality complaint/claim management
Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Technology, Food Nutrition, Chemical/Chemical Engineering, or relevant
- 7 - 10 years or more experience in food specialty technical sales or technical development/application
- Good understanding of food specialty ingredient market and cost/profit structures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Communication skills including written communication, presentations, ability to interact with other functions
- Good understanding of business acumen
- Planning, time management and project management skills
- Capability to solve problems through creative, innovative solutions and challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks
