We are seeking support for our European-focused underwriting team and this person will be responsible for the delivery of technical advice, high quality reports and support across Global Corporate & Specialty (GCS) Property Investors and European accounts. A key objective of this exciting role is to deliver a first-class risk management service which supports the Company’s intention to be the leading insurer in its chosen market.

This role is home-based and flexible in that it can be in the UK but will require travel nationally and internationally (Europe).

A bit about the job:

• Managing risk engineering programmes and producing bespoke quality survey reports and risk improvements, including preparation and delivery of presentations to senior client management - supporting key clients with high quality loss avoidance/reduction measures
• Providing innovative solutions to our clients to help prevent loss and reduce exposure
• Managing and co-ordinating risks and handling technical referrals from brokers, clients and colleagues.
• Completing desktop reviews for new business and renewals
• Developing key internal stakeholder and an external network of relationships to ensure people understand the GCS risk management business and ensure the best service is delivered

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Extensive experience of current risk management and loss prevention practices
• Excellent co-ordination skills and experience of leading risk engineering programmes for select accounts
• Ability to analyse, collate and interpret underwriting information to ensure pro-active risk management decisions are made to effectively improve risk quality
• Highly developed presentation and customer engagement skills, with experience at influencing and negotiating
• Knowledge of international loss prevention codes such as NFPA, EN, LPC, FM etc.
