Cox Enterprises is looking for a person to join the Corporate Business Shared Services team with a passion for QA strategies that can help lead large project testing efforts to successful application changes and launches. The candidate should have experience with learning applications and business requirements quickly as well as work closely with all team members including business owners, developers, and application users for test planning, execution, and defect triage. The Sr. QA Analyst should be familiar with both manual testing and automated testing. We are looking for a candidate that has an in-depth knowledge of industry-standard quality assurance methods. Experience testing SaaS/Cloud Integration solutions with both desktop and mobile test suites. This position must have a good working knowledge of project management tools and possess the ability to manage the QA Phase for multiple concurrent projects. The Sr. QA Analyst works closely with the project team to lead the development and execution of test strategies, test plans and test scripts and is responsible for certifying product readiness for UAT. Testing execution may include unit, system, stress/load, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing. Sr. QA Analyst must have expertise in both manual and automation test methodologies. This position is responsible for formalizing testing procedures and utilizing the established communication channels to solicit and provide feedback on the QA process. The Sr. QA Analyst is responsible for reviewing requirements for new product upgrades and determining the need for QA processes. The Sr. QA Analyst has a strong technical ability to troubleshoot problems to resolution and is responsible for developing, executing, and documenting test procedures to verify problem fixes. This person is expected to work with minimal supervision and have the ability to mentor less experienced QA analysts and contract staff augmentation.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to create test plans/test cases from functional specifications and product requirements documents
Develop and manage QA status report and project schedule
Perform operational, performance, usability, and regression testing of products
Track, analyze, and record all deviations from documented software functionality or product requirements
Develop, perform, and document test procedures to verify problem fixes. Report critical issues to the QA management and work with developers to resolve all issues
Work with customers to support duplicate/analyze problems reported by customers
Review all documentation for technical accuracy
Assist in installation, configuration, and compatibility testing of software on multiple platforms and devices.
Lead the selection of tools/software used in the QA process
Facilitate User Acceptance Testing
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or 5+ years equivalent experience
5+ years of Software Testing/QA experience
Good Knowledge of generally accepted Quality Assurance methodologies
Experience in developing test scripts and test automation on a variety of operating systems and database platforms
Ability to lead and partner with offshore testing team
Experience with HP ALM, LoadRunner, Fiddler, OctoPerf or Quality Center.
Solid group facilitation and communication skills.
Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) or Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) is a plus.
Experience with IE, Chrome, iOS, and Android test devices.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
