As a Senior Manager in Purchasing, you play a critical role in bringing products and services of superior quality and value to the world’s consumers. Purchasing sources every dollar for the Company…over $45 Billion spent on raw materials, packaging, commodities, contract manufacturing, agency & media services, IT, and many more. In addition, Purchasing develops Supply Chain experts who manage thousands of raw material and packaging supply chains. As a member of the Purchases team, you’re a business leader that creates best total value across our direct and indirect supply chains by driving innovation, cost savings, cash, supply assurance, supplier diversity, sustainability, and stewardship & governance.
As a sourcing and supply chain professional your everyday work will consist of using a vast array of technical, analytical, and commercial skills. We are looking for candidates that have demonstrated:
The ability to analyze markets & identify trends and opportunities
Experience in system ownership and providing guidance to others in a team as you develop and optimize new and existing supply chains
Successful commercialization of emerging technologies
Effective working relationships with internal and external business partners
Management of resilient supply chains and commercial agreements that add top and bottom line value to the business.
Purchases work is broad since we touch every dollar that company spends with third parties. Your job could focus on Sourcing and/or Supply Chain management which includes the following responsibilities:
Participating as a critical member of a cross-functional team in one of our Organizational Units to deliver a new product, service, or technology to market
Creating sourcing strategies that sustainably improve the value of materials and services that support our Brands
Drive positive impact by buying goods and services from suppliers that are invested in reducing their environmental footprint and are striving for equality and inclusion in their organization
Lead and build the creation of holistic plans that drive and enable resilient & efficient supply chains for packaging and raw materials
Encourage innovation from our external business partners
Identify an interpret new and emerging customer requirements and market trends that will affect future sourcing strategies
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, supply chain management, engineering, or related field of study
3-10 years of strategic sourcing or supply chain management experience through which you demonstrated the ability to: Develop sourcing strategies, lead commercial tactics such as negotiation and competitive bidding, Manage supplier relationships, Influence leadership/peers to drive business value, and/or Analyze and optimize complex supply chains.
Solid written and verbal communication
Strong collaboration and analytical skills
Robust thinking and problem-solving
A can-do attitude with propensity toward acting with a sense of urgency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally; estimated travel 15% - 20%
