Job Description
As a senior liability claims adjuster on our Home & Property team, you’ll ensure first-party homeowner property litigation claims are fairly and accurately investigated. In this role, you’ll assess coverage, liability and damage analysis of complex bodily injury and property damage claims. You’ll also effectively negotiate settlements while communicating with insureds, customers, attorneys and witnesses.
Duties & responsibilities can include
- Investigate all relevant facts needed to evaluate coverage, liability, and damages on casualty claim files that involve complex issues, severe injuries and/or multiple parties
- Use varying methods of investigation, including taking recorded statements, consulting with police, inspecting property damage, and reviewing document
- Evaluate and determines injury/damage causality to the loss
- Set cases for pre-suit mediations or hearings
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of three years casualty claims experience
- Instead of a degree, a minimum of four years of prior work experience within claims, financial services, customer service, construction, property management, medical or related field; at least three years of which must be casualty claims experience
Compensation
- $66,000 to $75,000/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 24% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
