Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • The ERP Finance Systems Senior Project Manager role will require an in-depth knowledge of Finance ERP solutions - combined with sound technology and implementation experience.

  • Working closely with members of the operation team to ensure the optimal system is delivered.

  • You will be working with a divisional business unit to develop and implement significant enhancements of the company’s production system to streamline transactional processing, automate business rules and introduce an online hosted Treasury Management Solution.

  • The successful candidate will also take on Line Manager responsibilities and be key to the development of other members of the team.

  • You will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of these two projects to time, cost and quality, complying with project management methodology and Capita procedures.

What we’re looking for:

  • A Qualified or experienced accountant with a background of working with and implementing finance ERP systems.

  • Accountant with finance operations experience.

  • Expertise of integrating Finance packages with other strategic solutions including Treasury Management Systems.

  • Qualified in Prince 2 / PMP and experienced in Agile project management methodology ensuring planning and management of projects is comprehensive and consistent across different initiatives.

  • Experienced in preparing, gaining approval, refining, and updating business cases that justify the initiation or continuation of projects in terms of benefits, costs and risks.

  • Skilled in project planning, establishing and maintaining governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for governance and project delivery which align with organisational practice.

  • Excellent experience in project reporting and documentation production for the components of a project including scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities, issues and quality requirements.

  • Adept at financial management, monitoring and controlling costs within agreed budgets and experienced in delivering projects to time, cost & quality.

  • Experienced in scheduling project reviews including lessons learned and retrospectives during and on conclusion of a project, providing evaluations of progress and application of methodologies.

  • Skilled in change control, issue & risk management.

  • Background of delivery across a mixture of project types for example new ways of working, infrastructure, business change, applications or systems integration.
