Job Description:
You will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery: managing a direct consulting and delivery team on site; liaising with any off site and 3rd party resources for activities such as software development and handing over to business as usual support. You will be responsible for managing stakeholders and complex relationships with other parties involved in the delivery of large scale client programmes of work. You will also be responsible for supporting our client resources to ensure that projects are delivered to time, cost and quality.
You will have a clear focus on customer needs and the industry context, benefits, deliverables, scope and stakeholder management.
What you will be doing:
Management and delivery of software implementation projects and programmes
Line management of project team
Management of multiple parties involved projects and programmes e.g. 3rd party suppliers, systems integrators
Key relationship management of client and other stakeholders
Sizing, scoping, planning, costing and managing project / programme delivery
Management of issues, risks, dependencies, change control and quality deliverable production
Project planning and reporting using MS Project or similar
Supporting other parties in delivering a successful overall project
Ensuring compliance to critical success factors / objectives of project and quality of delivery
What we're looking for:
Sized, scoped, planned, costed and project managed several large scale complex software enabled business change projects and programmes through the whole project lifecycle, delivering software and associated professional services, and transitioning those projects to support or managed service.
Bid and proposal management and production.
Experience in one or more of the following: Implementations of Enterprise solutions such as SAP and Ellipse, Data Management, Systems Integration, Business Intelligence; Mobile Working, Energy Retail Solutions (particularly relating to industry data flows).
Industry specific experience gained in one or more of the following: Utilities, Rail or Energy Sector.
Managed large teams of people with demonstrable people management skills.
Managed multiple parties in the delivery of projects e.g. 3rd party suppliers, systems integrators, offshore resources, either directly or indirectly.
Experienced at building strong relationships with senior level clients / customers and stakeholders to facilitate successful project / programme delivery.
Excellent communication and document production skills.
Experience of applying PRINCE2 / MSP (or variants of).
Experience of using MS Project or equivalent for project planning and progress reporting.
