Overview
The Senior Project Manager job is accountable for the successful end-to-end delivery of strategic projects, programs, and
portfolios. The job leads projects, programs, portfolios or leads an Agile ART or several agile teams, through
the systems development life cycle from planning through hyper care, working in close partnership with IT and
business leaders including executive sponsors. The work also includes leading, collaboration, coaching team
members and influencing others outside their direct team to ensure the success of initiatives.
Specialized Skills and Technologies
- Experience in managing large and complex technical projects
- Understanding of fundamentals of IT Architecture & Systems to deliver solutions is a must
- Experience in integrating multiple systems (logic and data) across the enterprise is required
- Functional knowledge and experience in implementing large and complex solutions either related to
- software, data or Infrastructure projects is required
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools is required
- Ability to create and follow work and data flow charts is required
- Need to understand Software Development Life Cycle and various delivery methodologies like Waterfall and Agile
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members
- Create and maintain project budgets

- Plan and run test plans
- Create work break down structures to support project delivery and track plan
- Use level of efforts to assist in developing project budgets
- Manage project progress and create effective status reports
- Manage all required project documentation per SGWS PMO standards
- Define, drive test metrics and monitor testing to ensure testing is completed per project schedule
- Define resource plan and manage throughout project life cycle

- Proven experience successfully managing business and technical resources under an integrated project
- plan to ensure the alignment of resources
- Ability to take ownership for managing all aspects of project management from discovery through
- delivery implementation
- Experience presenting, escalating, and providing solutions to senior leadership
- Experience managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all
- parties. Proven record of focusing on building trusted relationship with those responsible for execution
- Ability to quickly assess projects at the onset for areas of risk, identify gaps and recommend areas for
- improvement
- Experience in change management related aspects of project execution and ability to incorporate change considerations in planning / execution of projects
