Senior Project Manager - IT

Job Description:

The IT senior project manager’s prime responsibility is to ensure that the project produces the required products within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, benefits and risk. The senior project manager is also responsible for the project producing a result capable of achieving the benefits defined in the business case. The individual must have a demonstrable ability to work across all levels of stakeholders and third parties within a commercial environment.

What you will do:

• Planning across all stages of the project lifecycle and obtaining appropriate levels of sign-off
• Determining project budget, gaining approval to proceed and managing the project to the budget
• Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, quality objectives
• Management of the project on a day-to-day basis to deliver in line with agreed project plans
• Execution of project plan, monitoring progress and taking all necessary actions and escalations where appropriate
• Management of projects through the required stage gates

Your experience will include:

• Proven project management track record in a delivery environment
• Ability to manage complex multiple large-scale projects
• Demonstrate effective and productive stakeholder management both internally at all levels and with third parties
• Must be able to lead, motivate and manage cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams
• Builds productive relationships with functions and third parties outside of the project team
• Operate effectively in a commercial environment
• PRINCE 2 foundation or practitioner or industry-standard equivalent qualification
• IT/Technology Senior Project Management experience essential.
