The Implementation Manager is responsible for regional launches of new products, features, and product trial and launch processes. This role is focused on product launches within the Southeast Region. The Regional Product Implementation Manager acts as a regional point of contact for Engineering, Care, Field Services, Order Management, Supply Chain and other similar teams as well as the liaison to the broader Cox Business product and technology organizations to ensure a smooth handoff when new products or features are introduced.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
PLANNING & ANALYSIS
Drive regional product roadmap to execute on department product strategy
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Product Development & Management teams, to develop product requirements, concept design and testing of new services
Manage trial and testing activities, document results assessment, and institute necessary modifications resulting from trials
Recommend strategies for deployment and launch
DELIVERY & EXECUTION
Drive commercial product launch activities in accordance with the company product development methodology and standards
Work closely with integrators, vendors and internal teams to deploy products
Coordinate with, and provide leadership for, regional cross-functional groups on development and product release schedules/deliverables
Work with boundary partners to conduct quality assurance testing of product functionality and operational procedures
Manage resolution of product implementation issues
Participate in the authoring and maintenance of requirements/user stories for new products, enhancements, and customer applications
Implement new workflows and workflow changes in support of development activity
Partner with training organization to build effective training rollout plans
Become a subject matter expert on critical documentation, including product concept, product definition, playbooks, process and procedure materials, job aids and training documents
Gather input from customers and internal stakeholders (i.e. sales, marketing, etc.) to find and address product weaknesses/gaps and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Provide leadership and insight in competitive analysis, including commercial customer use behavior and emerging trends and applications
Communicate product launch milestones and identifies potential risks; conducts regular status meetings to review regional implementation activities
Set and manage partner expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes
Measure progress toward launches
Evaluate the impacts and risks of changes from multiple perspectives and escalates concerns that could create barriers during launch
Produce and report on launch and implementation metrics
Qualifications:
Required:
7 years of experience in related field (project management, product management, product marketing)
Project management, Product management, or implementation experience with a record of delivering multiple projects on time
Ability to achieve goals by working with large cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Experience with product development lifecycle and adherence to product development methodologies
Analytical, communication and presentation skills
Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred:
Experience in LEAN innovation management practices, SAFe Agile Framework or other agility-focused development processes is a good addition.
Green Belt Certification
PMP Certification
Telecommunications industry experience
Technical and market knowledge with telecom technologies, platforms, and network architectures
Experience working with B2B products and services
Knowledge of OSI model, including GPON, Fiber, and DOCSIS topologies
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, or commensurate work experience
