The Senior Program Manager plays a key role in the organization as the single threaded leader of the overall format business model. As the Senior Program Manager, you will own goals focused on driving sales, enhancing the customer experience, and continually improving overall profitability. You will work closely with teams such as category management, product management, marketing, and merchandising.
The ideal candidate is comfortable and effective operating on both strategic and tactical dimensions, approaches problems with a multi-faceted approach, and is energized by problems that require learning and invention across business functions. You set and drive a clear vision for the future of the format, with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving long-term value for Amazon. You are responsible for driving decisions on a range of strategic priorities and resource investments.
The right person for this role is someone with a high degree of ownership who enjoys building, testing and iterating, exceptional curiosity and analytical thinking, and a high bias for action. You have a track record of exceptional performance and love working in a dynamic, ambiguous, fast-paced environment in which managing multiple projects and priorities is the norm. You are an articulate, persuasive communicator and an excellent writer. People trust and respect you and value your partnership. You love to Invent and Simplify and have a track record of delivering results.
· Bachelor’s degree
· 5+ years of experience in category, product, in stock or vendor management and/or equivalent function
· Demonstrated analytical skills, e.g. business trend tracking, analysis, forecasting
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Passion for retail, consumer products, and a love of technology
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects – prioritization, planning and task delegation
· Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and simultaneously in both strategic and tactical modes
· MBA
