Telecommunication carriers are increasingly seek cloud-scale efficiencies for their business, but have yet to migrate the bulk of their network functions and infrastructure off proprietary systems and self-managed private clouds.  Azure for Operators aim to accelerate this process by easing the onboarding, orchestration, monitoring and management of complex mission-critical payloads to the cloud, including both voice and packet core functions.  The same tooling and services will be applicable to critical payloads across many industries, in addition to telecoms.

Responsibilities

• Provide clarity of insight into customer needs for orchestration and management of complex applications in hybrid cloud estates to must meet the most demanding reliability expectations. 
• Drive detailed epic/feature and resource plans in conjunction with your PM colleagues and Engineering teams spread across US, Europe and India. 
• Define compelling role specific user experiences including consideration for the need to customize the UX 
• Ensure your product is built to the required standards for fundamentals such as security, quality and reliability. 

• Co-ordinate with wider Azure PM teams for cross-dependency planning. 
• Assist with the orchestration and management responses to RFI/RFPs, and detailed project SoW planning. 

Qualifications

• 5+ working with hyperscale cloud systems systems such as from Azure, AWS and Google. (required) 

• Ability to provide clear written and verbal explanations of complex topics to both expert and novice audiences, in English. (required) 
• BA/BS or Masters Degree in Computer Science or other numerate subject. (required) 
• 3+ years experience in program/product management. (preferred) 
• Understanding of CSP network architectures, services and business models (preferred) 
• Knowledge OSS/BSS and orchestration technologies and market. (preferred)
