Windows Servicing & Delivery (WSD) team is responsible for keeping Windows devices protected and productive.

We’re looking for a strong Program Manager with a track record of excellence in product planning, cross-team collaboration, team leadership, and delivering results, to create & innovate on Windows Update platform capabilities that make updates reliable, seamless & easy to manage. This customer-obsessed role combines deep understanding of customer needs, business priorities, and technical capabilities to help keep hundreds of millions of Windows users world-wide protected, and productive. Responsibilities

 Candidate will be responsible for:

• Driving critical Windows Update scenarios, including developing roadmaps, and engineering requirements.
• Influencing our cross-team update strategy to improve update trustworthiness & reliability.
• Directly gathering feedback from customers, partners, and stakeholders and synthesizing the results.
• Collaborating across boundaries with engineering, data, research, partner-teams, marketing, legal, content, compliance, support, and beyond.

Defining feature specifications and leading engineering crew through the development cycles, shipping, and measuring impact.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, or other technical fields.
• 5+ years of program management experience and shipping products Proven track-record for delivering features across multiple time horizons.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Strong collaboration, execution, problem-solving and judgement skills to prioritize and drive work across multiple teams and in multiple development cycles.
• Technical acumen and ability to dive deep to understand technical capabilities, assess dependencies, as part of architecting a solution.
• Experience in using data, experimentation, KPIs, and Key Results, to measure results and inform business and product decisions.
• Adept at adjusting styles between being in-the-code with engineers all the way up to strategy reviews with Corporate Vice Presidents.
• Passion for customer experiences and ability to balance the needs of the business with that of over a billion customers worldwide across Windows ecosystem.
