Microsoft’s Risk Management team is seeking to hire a Senior Program Manager who is passionate about mitigating payment fraud risk in a customer centric manner. You will be responsible for identifying and designing opportunities to support and/or develop programs to mitigate payment fraud for many of Microsoft’s ecommerce businesses such as Azure, Office, Xbox and Microsoft.com. You will help define the onboarding strategy and coordinate cross-team onboarding programs by gathering requirements, understanding business strategies and priorities and customer support requirements to stop bad actors and protect good customers. All of this will be done by leveraging your extensive knowledge of coordinating and implementing large scale, multinational risk management solutions in collaboration with engineering, data science, product owners, operations, and support teams. Responsibilities

 

  • Lead a portfolio of projects including the project plan, timelines, milestones, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for complex programs. Communicate the program status and risk to relevant stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Data Science, Operations and Support).  
  • Identify and provide solutions to existing or new risk scenarios, gather program requirements, create the project plan and targets, and work across teams to align on the plan of record.  
  • Produce documentation (e.g., proposals, strategy walking deck, business requirement documents, launch plans) to incorporate stakeholder needs and ensure the business objectives are met.  
  • Lead the rhythm of business (ROB) during plan execution. 
  • Develop and evangelize risk strategies and support experiences to stakeholders and partners to gain buy in. Leverage data and performance metrics to demonstrate the value of a program and show business impact.  
  • Evaluate launch risk landscape and develop mitigation plans and acceptance of risks. Translate requests from stakeholders into specific launch goals. Gather feedback from partners to develop insights on launch performance.  
  • Collaborate with launch v-teams to ensure all business functions adapt to launches and support/execute all fulfilment deliverables. 
  • Track and communicate the success criteria and performance metrics for multiple businesses. 
  • Coordinate mitigation and resolution of incidents and executive escalations. 
  • Communicate progress and findings with executive stakeholders 

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Economics, STEM or related field  
  • 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement, project management or equivalent 
  • 4+ years work experience in fraud and payment risk 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Subject matter expertise in online payments 
  • Experience handling incidents and executive escalations 
  • Strong data skills, with experience querying, analyzing, and drawing intelligent conclusions from large data sets  
  • Demonstrated experience presenting complex information, data, and strategic plans in a clear, concise way 
  • An ability to tell stories effectively to evangelize ideas and gain support/investment from others 
  • Nimble, creative, and dynamic. Adapting to change comes naturally for you 
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teammates/leaders from all levels and areas of the organization, across multiple geographies 
  • Self-motivated, always looking to push the boundaries 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment 
  • Native cloud businesses experience
