Responsibilities

As part of the Microsoft Commerce + Ecosystem Engineering team, as a Senior Program Manager, you will be personally involved in leading the designing, configuring the business requirements & features that enable our mission critical business partners. You will work closely with peers across teams (inside Commerce + Ecosystem, CO+I and across the company) to help build flexible and high-performing Integration Services that enable next generation of business services. This is a data-driven and fast paced environment where ideas can be taken from conception to scale. It is a great opportunity to work on something highly strategic to Microsoft! The Product Manager role is to drive the vision and execution of Microsoft’s next generation Azure DCS Services Platform.

Key responsibilities:

The Microsoft Commerce + Ecosystem Engineering team is at the center of all capabilities being developed to solve internal problems of SAP, Supply Chain and CO+I business using Azure DCS Compass Platform including extending these capabilities to internal and external customers for similar problems that they are looking to solve. This platform therefore needs to scale from end-to-end building capabilities perspective. The Program Manager for Azure DCS services is going to be responsible for the following:

  • Formulating a vision, value proposition and roadmap for improvements and enhancements to Azure DCS Platform in collaboration with CO+I stakeholders.
  • Ensure design and direction of the Cloud Data Center solution & services based on D365 product components, helping design for scalability and global reach.
  • Driving customer-focused program management by planning and designing improvements based upon business and customer feedback.
  • Define, drive, prioritize, and specify functional scenarios for managing platform features.
  • Provide program vision and roadmap to the development team building key functionality, working with customers to get feedback, and iterating to improve outcomes.
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and executing deliverables.
  • Partner across the business and engineering teams to develop capabilities that drive success for the broader Azure DCS Services capabilities on Azure Platform.
  • Market/Customer understanding:  Develop critical and clear understanding of the requirements of the Market, of the requirements of customers, distill that and use it to develop the roadmap, and lead the team.
  • Own and evangelize feature roadmaps to land a reference implementation of CO+I Services across multiple business processes.
  • End-to-end ownership of scope/priorities, schedule, budget, risks and issue management
  • Demonstrate customer obsession and demonstrate the use of data to identify the top pain points and opportunities for driving impact.

Other areas of key focus on the team include:

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather business requirements to develop solutions. Must have a strong focus on the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Be data-driven and keep customer as the most important dimension while planning new capabilities.
  • Leverage Microsoft technologies to build world class, innovative solutions.
  • Work with partner teams for capacity planning, defining service requirements, and designing end-to-end capabilities and features.
  • Create solutions with GTM in mind which caters to Microsoft requirements and is also useful for other customers.

  • 12+ years combined experience: Program Management, Product Management, Operations Research, Software Development, technical/engineering role(s).
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Planning, design, development, testing and implementation experience on large scale and complex projects for enterprise businesses.
  • Business and functional knowledge in Azure cloud solutions, Platforms and Services.
  • Proven success and experience in collaborating across engineering, business, and operational teams, up to and including working with Partner/GM level stakeholders.
  • 3+ years demonstrated proficiency in executive level presentations and communications
  • Proven experience to quickly learn existing concepts and employ new techniques.
  • Ability to accommodate up to 10% travel
  • Good understanding of enterprise grade applications in terms of resilience, scale
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborating in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Proven track record in the development and delivery of effective technical strategies and multi-year roadmaps
  • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting skills along with sound judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrable passion for continuous applied learning & development
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity without stalling progress
  • Inherently curious, energized by large challenges, and interested in making a significant impact on a globally scaled business
  • Metrics and data focused and Passion for solving Customer Problems
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships and manage stakeholder expectations.

BS or MS in Computer Science or related field required; MBA is highly desired.
