The Amazon Fresh Stores team is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Senior Program Manager with a strong customer focus and an obsession for operational excellence. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for AFSI’s Scalability program by delivery lower cost solutions via offshoring, automation, defect prevention and process improvement. You will specifically own the offshoring program on behalf of AFSI teams and lead the scoping, development and integration of Retail tools to provide scalable solutions for all business functions. The person in this role will be interacting with senior leaders on a regular basis and lead various programs that require stakeholder engagement so should understand the importance of presenting thoughtful and high quality work that drives business decisions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will contribute to building the future of Amazon Fresh Stores International, by identifying and managing operational Projects. Key responsibility include:
1. Program Manager for all offshoring work streams within AFSI, developing the strategy, requirements and implementation of offshoring initiatives, and finding creative solutions to meet time saving goals afforded to these initiatives.
2. Program Manager for operational scalability initiatives, including tool development with US tech teams, influencing BI roadmaps to equip our operation teams with the resources they need to scale efficiently end to end
3. Develop and maintain strong communication processes and ensure streamlined communication across the different functions and stakeholders
4. Identify process defects and drive large size projects to improve Speed, Quality and/or operational costs
5. Build and lead the partnership with our International and US colleagues to identify process synergies and localisation opportunities
6. Reporting to leadership on time saving and scalability work streams on a set cadence, highlighting Program initiatives, status and measurable outputs
· Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience
· 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel
· Proven experience independently identifying and delivering complex operational improvement project
· Proven experience of owning project roadmaps and critical paths through to delivery
· Experience partnering with stakeholders and peers cross-functionally
· Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective written and verbal communication, including presenting to a variety of audiences
· Ability to solve difficult and ambiguous problems including identifying and completing the relevant data analysis
· An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment
· 4+ years’ relevant experience including program and/or product management experience
· Retail and/or operations experience
· Experience working with offshore teams
· Management of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual/design stage, in the depths of system testing, and at each stage in between
· Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment while leading people/teams without formal responsibility
· Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or similar qualification
· 3+ years’ of experience leading improvements through the application of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools and similar methodologies
