Cox Automotive is currently looking for a Senior Program Manager, M&A to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Role:
The Senior Program Manager, M&A is responsible for end-to-end program management of integrating our acquired entities into Cox Automotive (CAI) Payroll and Time Management processes, policies, and tools. The role is a critical member of our HR M&A team and drives success of our overall integration journey by ensuring acquired entity employees’ transition seamlessly into the CAI pay and time ecosystem. The role reports under the guidance and supervision of our Senior Director Rewards/ M&A Program Management and partners with key stakeholders within CAI HR and target HR teams to design, manage and execute Pay and Time integration activities.
Responsibilities:
Key conduit between our Rewards strategy and HR Operations execution teams to drive successful execution and adoption of Pay & Time programs, policies and tools for acquired entities or due diligence for Target entities.
Builds critical cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across CAI Total Rewards, Payroll, Employee Service Center, and HR Technology teams, as well as Cox Enterprise teams, to drive Pay & Time integration activities.
Takes active part in M&A Due Diligence process to understand and document current Pay & Time Management programs, policies, and tools of our Target entities.
Liaisons with internal CAI stakeholders to develop post-acquisition integration plans and document change impacts to Target entity’s current state.
Partners with Target Entity Leaders to develop mitigation strategies (e.g., bridge loans) as employees transition from their current pay cycle to CAI’s pay cycle and schedule.
Coordinates with Target Entity vendors to align on and execute post-acquisition plans and transition to CAI Pay & Time systems successfully.
Works with Change Management teams to develop and roll out training and communications to enable adoption of post-integration Pay & Time programs, policies, and tools.
Continues to support CAI Payroll Team and Target Entity employees through post-integration hypercare period and enable seamless transition to BAU.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities (e.g., new tool capabilities) to strengthen Pay & Time delivery post integration.
Develop strategies for Target historical data retention and ensure a secure backup of Target data in partnership with CAI Legal, Employment Practices and HR Ops teams.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of federal, state regulations and global labor laws that may affect pay & time policies and make recommendations for changes and improvements.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in related field and 7+ years of experience in program management driving large-scale initiatives in HR or compensation (preferably focused on payroll delivery/time management in an M&A context) OR an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Management consulting experience
PMP or PgMP certification
Resources/Operations Management
Strong hands-on experience of managing programs focused on payroll process design or re-engineering and /or time management tools deployment in a large-scale environment
Practical understanding of pay & time issues and challenges with non-exempt/hourly workforce
Demonstrated experience managing and directing program employees, contractors and/or consultants in a matrix team setting
Demonstrated experience in strong relationship building skills with senior executives across various departments and business units
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities
Excellent communicator (verbal and written); very strong presentation and facilitation skills
Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
