Project Operations enables the digital transformation of organizations whose manufacturing and/or delivery of offerings are dependent on the availability of resources with the right skills. This is a horizontal workload that supports organizations in different industries from professional services where offerings are only resource-based to engineering, construction, and manufacturing industries where delivery as well as manufacturing of offerings are dependent on the availability of resources. These organizations’ business processes have distinctly different needs when it comes to the management of demand and supply and financial management of revenue and cost.  

Project Operations connects the entire organization and empowers sales, project management, resourcing, delivery, partner management and accounting teams with the visibility needed to win more contracts, accelerate project delivery, and maximize profitability. Project Operations provides key capabilities from quoting to project accounting such as resource-based CPQ, quoting based on a resource-based project plan, managing the demand and supply of resources, resource-based forecasting and financial planning, financial management through time and expense capture and corresponding revenue recognition, invoicing and accounting capabilities. Project Operations integrates with customers’ current systems such as Sales, Finance and HR, without the need to rip and replace existing systems. 

We are looking for Senior Product Manager to lead Project Accounting workstream with Project Operations. Your knowledge and passion will help further improve Project Accountant experiences within the product and drive integration with Dynamics 365 Finance. You will also enrich existing product documentation, participate in analyst engagements and will present at key events. As a key member of the team, you will also need to contribute to the overall vision and strategy of the application and understand end-to-end capabilities.

You will need to collaborate closely with customers, partners, ISVs, and end-users to develop an instinct for how Project Operations can add value and make a real difference to their lives. You will have the opportunity to own features end-to-end from conception through implementation and will drive a cycle of iterative improvements post-ship. You will be required to work up and down the stack from UI to database and across disciplines from pre-sales, sales to customer support for the features that you owned, designed, and implemented.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end experiences for Project Accounting feature area
• Drive the product specification / experience review process, including framing the user problem, prioritizing the product scenarios, researching competitive data or other user research, identifying key metrics and indicators of success, and collaborating with your Design and Development counterparts to create wireframes, mock-ups, scope out work, and identify dependencies and risks
• Collaborate with your Triad (PM, Dev, Design), and other partner teams across BAG and Microsoft
• Understand the competitive landscape and gaps / differentiators between competitive experiences and the experience you own
• Prioritize scenarios and requirements for your feature areas; inform broader product roadmap discussions
• Monitor and synthesize learnings from product telemetry, user research, and qualitative input to design and improve your features

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Product/Program Management experience on an end-user facing product 
• Understanding and familiarity with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations with domain skills in Finance and/ or Project Accounting
• Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences
• Strong project management and cross-group collaboration skills 
• Self-motivated, curious, and adaptive mindset 
• Ability to structure complex problems and think creatively and critically about product features, architecture, and technical limitations 
• Passion for and intuition with user experiences 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Understanding and familiarity with the professional service automation market and competitive landscape
