Video advertising is a complex, multi-sided market with many technologies at play within the industry. The industry is rapidly growing and evolving as viewers are shifting from traditional TV viewing to Streaming TV and publishers are increasingly adding video content to their online experiences. Amazon’s video advertising program is a rising competitor in this industry. Amazon’s service has differentiated assets in our customer & audience insights, exclusive video content, and associated inventory that position us well as an end to end service for advertisers and agencies. We are looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented individuals to help launch our offering into new market segments.

As a Senior Product Manager for International Expansion, you will define the vision and strategy of international products and work with local and global teams to bring the product vision to life. You will identify clear customer-driven requirements, prioritize their implementation in the product roadmap, help drive and support product development efforts on the roadmap, craft and execute on winning GTM strategies, and define and monitor metrics that measure the success of products. You will play a major role in shaping the future of Amazon Video Advertising worldwide!

You will be the voice of the customer and will help ship a product that customers love. You will learn about the unique needs of customers in different markets and work backwards from those needs to define, build and launch products that will win in each market. You will work across across various functions, including technical program managers, program managers, engineers, designers, sales, product marketing, insights and measurements, finance, and will communicate and coordinate the execution of your vision across these functions.

A successful candidate will be customer-obsessed - and will enjoy learning about customer needs and obsess over delighting customers, and an excellent communicator as the role requires being able to clearly articulate and communicate visions, roadmap plans, GTM strategies, etc. They will have the ability to see the bigger vision from 10,000 ft up but also able to delve deep into the details. They possess cross-functional coordination skills given the level of engagement with multiple teams across various functions. An ideal candidate will have international markets experience and a flair for understanding the nuances required to be successful in different markets. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with dealing with ambiguity, thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment and enjoy being innovative and creating new experiences for customers. Being technology savvy and having an interest in advertising is a must.

Key responsibilities
· Dive deep into understanding the voice of our international customers and how they leverage video advertising to drive their business goals
· Define the strategic vision for new product features in different locales by working backwards from the unique customer needs
· Work closely with engineering and program management to deliver products and manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support load
· Partner and collaborate closely with internal product teams to align on long-term goals and short term execution plans
· Define the go-to market strategy for new product capabilities in partnership with local and global GTM teams
· Coordinate the market launch plans including creating standard operating procedures, training local teams, preparing internal communications
· Engage with cross-company business and product leaders to build and execute on strategic plans aligned with long-term objectives
· Define the success metrics for features or services and track performance. Utilise metrics to dive deep on issues and uncover business trends and anomalies
· Think outside the box and experiment autonomously with meaningful projects
· Author 1, 4 and 6 page documents communicating your plans to internal stakeholders from across and at all levels within Amazon

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with product cycles of 6+ months
· Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
· Experience managing teams
· Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
· Experience with end to end product delivery
· Experience directly managing teams of 3 or more
· Experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or equivalent master’s degree from a top program
· BS or BA in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics.
· Understanding of advertising and advertising technologies
· Experience engaging and identifying needs of end customers
· Entrepreneurial spirit with track record for delivering results in fast-moving environments
· Superior analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills – experience in writing and presenting to customers, stakeholders and senior leaders.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
