The Free Search organization at Amazon has end-to-end responsibility for one of the largest managed marketing channels in the world. Our organization is comprised of marketing & product teams, an Engineering team and a Business Intelligence team and we are truly international with members of our teams in Seattle, Palo Alto, London, Paris, Madrid, Dubai, Bangalore, Beijing and Tokyo. We manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO) inputs across Amazon domains and develop world leading proprietary technology including an automated experimentation system for measuring and driving SEO changes. More specifically, the EU Free Search team is responsible for managing the EU business, by driving website traffic, maximizing channel revenue generation and improving customer experience for EU domains. The EU Free Search Team contributes to the WW channel strategy and is leading global technology development projects, working directly with our global tech teams. This product manager position offers an unparalleled opportunity to develop or deepen a detailed understanding of SEO/digital marketing and build advanced technology. The Search marketing problem space is exciting, challenging, and constantly evolving. The role requires a highly analytical mindset, data savviness, a strong business sense and curiosity to seek out new possibilities and dive deep into technical solutions to support them. You will be comfortable thinking big, diving deep and delivering results. You will own projects and product features end to end, work directly with tech & BI teams and be responsible for scaling globally, working closely with our global team members. This position will be based in any of our European offices (London, Munich, Paris, Madrid, Milan) – depending on the candidate desired location.
Key job responsibilities
This role has responsibility both for delivering global Amazon SEO projects, incl. the design and delivery of new technology and managing end to end SEO for one of our Amazon domains in EU. Specifically, the Sr. Product Manager SEO will:
Deliver global SEO projects and technology
· Audit and analyze Amazon’s website, analytics and crawl data, identify issues, find root-cause, and experiment with solutions at scale in order to improve SEO performance
· Conduct SEO experiments in, using rigorous approaches and measurement methods (A/B tests, statistical methods) and prove their effectiveness
· Define requirements, overall feature or system architecture and lead the delivery of new technology, closely working with tech & BI teams
· Contribute to improve SEO performance pan EU and WW, moving quickly to implement ideas and delivering results
Contribute to SEO strategy and roadmap definition
· Identify strategic opportunities and prioritize them against other tactical actions to achieve a balance of short term and long term performance
· Shape and execute our strategy to solve complex SEO problems (using large scale data analysis) that can have a material difference to our commercial performance
Manage end-to-end SEO for one Amazon marketplace in EU:
· Manage and execute the SEO plan for one Amazon marketplaces, incl. support for major events / initiatives
· Be the point of contact of other teams within Amazon to help them improve their visibility on Search Engines through SEO
· Run our weekly and quarterly performance review cycles
· Run ad-hoc cause and effect analysis to derive action plans for specific issues
About the team

For this position, we expect:
· Multiple years of experience. Ideally background in product management, consulting, or SEO with willingness to move to product management.
· Proven analytical and quantitative skills with a passion and aptitude for analysis and related tools
· Confident working closely with technical (software development / BI / Data Science) and non-technical teams
· Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
· Interest in the technical and quantitative aspects of digital marketing
· A track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives
· Teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
Further Qualifications would be a plus:
· SQL knowledge
· Machine Learning, Modeling or Keyword clustering experience
· Another European language (French, Spanish, Italian, German)
