ABOUT THE JOB 
 

• Devising and delivering creative ideas that deliver impactful media coverage, laddering back to brand strategy and business objectives  
• Identify stories working very closely with the marketing, product and brand specific teams to ensure synergy across activity 
• Organising, managing and executing press events, press trips and production activities 
• A driving force in running press office activity including news generation helping support and coach more junior team members  
• Respond to any issues to media in a timely, professionally manner ensuring damage to TUI’s reputation is minimised 
• Actively media pitch, handling media calls and developing team in this area
• Evaluate PR activity, work with measurement media monitoring agency ensuring KPI’s are met 
•  Undertaking on call duties outside of office hours 
   

ABOUT YOU
 

• Has a hunger to seek out great stories from the business and work with media contacts to land coverage
• Creative and strategic thinker
• Adaptive, diplomatic, proactive and driven 
• Experience of working in public relations or press office environment. Agency experience preferred.
• A self-starter with a little black book of consumer media contacts
• A thirst to generate news, deliver stand out coverage and drive and run award winning campaigns 
• Outstanding media pitching skills. 
• Crisis and issues management – experience of dealing with negatives stories and issues and ability to brief senior management where appropriate.  
• There are two roles available and one will have specific responsibility for our Crystal Ski Holidays brand as part of their remit, so an interest in snowsports and a good basic level of skiing would be a definite advantage.
