The Senior Planner has a large breadth of responsibility including: demand planning, inventory optimization, and supply planning for one or more Express Scripts Mail Order. This also includes analyzing, monitoring and identifying trends for demand and supply planning of all drug products.  The Senior Planner is responsible for determining inventory strategy through the use of advanced forecasting tools, including Oracle EBS and Demantra.  The Senior Planner will ensure the supply plan meets or exceeds the need of the business with minimal or no impact to patient service levels, ensure planned inventory levels are maintained as well as meeting forecast accuracy requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manage day to day planning activities by reviewing historical demand; analyze/monitor trends.
• Review and ensure supply plan supports required demand plan.  Consult business partners and adjust as necessary within guidelines.
• Work with internal customers to understand trends; identify opportunities to optimize inventory & service levels; ensure drug stock-outs are minimized; assist in root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Recommend, implement and present process improvements that drive cost savings.
• Determine optimal inventory levels
• Support future implementation of Sales and Operations planning initiatives.
• Ability to travel approx. 20% as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS degree or 6-8 years equivalent working experience
• MBA preferred
• Minimum 2-5 years relevant MRP planning experience
• Strong technical knowledge or ERP/MRP systems preferred
• Working experience of Oracle EBS, Demantra and ASCP a plus
• APICS certification preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills required
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment following directions or independent as needed
• Ability to interface with internal customers in a professional and ethical manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills required
• Good financial and business acumen
