Are you a Packaging Engineer with experience in the below areas?

• Polymer Science - extensive experience with polymer science, processing and conversion of recycled PET (rPET) rigid packs and knowledge of recycling infrastructure.

• Innovation Management / Design Thinking - solid packaging technical foundation (commercialization and material qualification experiences) and can translate consumer insights/consumer problems into potential packaging platforms and projects.

• Commercialization Execution and Project Management -extensive experience with the execution of complex commercialization projects with a track record of managing project risks, informing key stakeholders, developing appropriate timelines and leading pack R&D Lead development activities

What are we looking for:

• Interest in Chicago – Mars Wrigley Hub Site. (Relocation considered)

• Graduate of University education in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science or other science based degree with minimum of 5 years relevant work experience (Advanced degree preferred).

• Innovation Management role: Minimum of 2 years leading design thinking, front end Innovation or similar. Experience in physical and digital prototyping. Experience with understanding Consumer Closeness/Empathy and category trends over time. Capability to generate insights to action and innovation pipelines and launches

• Polymer science role: Established industry relationships and strong knowledge in the areas of sustainability and polymer science.  Experience working on packaging projects, materials, manufacturing or converting. Subject matter expert in Packaging systems, Packaging materials and Packaging technologies. Robust experience utilizing scientific principles to solve technical problems.

• Experience/Knowledge of Food Industry

• Strong understanding of packaging sciences, packaging development, Packaging legislation and laws, Food processing and production knowledge.

• Experience in the development and successful launch of new packaging

• Proven ability to drive and deliver results in ambiguous situations

• Able to set priorities and demonstrated project management skills

• Ability to manage a diverse group of stakeholders

• Proven skills in prioritizing, influencing and project management.

• Ability to engage with outside vendors to deliver project requirements
